COLLECTOR NOTE

The Metallic Blue Aurea is a rare variegated Alocasia cultivar prized for its iridescent blue-green foliage with golden aurea variegation — a combination that is genuinely uncommon in the collector market. One of the more visually distinctive aroids available.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

One dormant Metallic Blue Aurea corm, inspected for firmness and viability before shipping. Corms are living but dormant — they require warmth, humidity, and patience to sprout.

Corm — dormant material. Final appearance at maturity cannot be guaranteed from photos.

GERMINATION

Place the corm in a warm, humid environment (25–30°C, humidity above 70%). A clear propagation box or humidity dome over moist sphagnum moss or perlite is ideal. Germination typically occurs within 2–6 weeks depending on conditions. Do not overwater — the corm should be nestled in moist, not wet, substrate.
